Author Biography

Vera Lúcia Oliveira Maccherani, University of Perugia

She is a poet, essayist and professor of Brazilian Literature at the University of Perugia. Graduated in
Languages in Brazil and PhD in Italy. She writes in Portuguese and Italian and has poems published in
various countries. His work addresses themes such as the processes of alterity, displacement,
deterritorialization, marginalization of individuals. He received several awards, including: Sandro Penna
Prize (Perugia, 1988), Poetry Prize of the Brazilian Academy of Letters (2005), Literature for All Prize
(Brasilia, 2006), Pasolini International Poetry Prize (Rome, 2006).
