This essay aims to present a brief contextualization of the verticalization that occurred during the period of architectural modernity in Campina Grande. Weaving a brief history, based on so-called “verticalizing” initiatives, the emergence of this typology in the city represented the advanced level of local construction possibilities, as well as the notable scale of production of local economic developers.
