The interview in this issue was conducted with the team of the "Concrete Trace project", represented here, by Isabele Ignez Mueller and Victor Armando Baumann. The professionals are linked to the Hermann Hering Foundation and concentrate their activities at the Ingo Hering Memory Center (CMIH), in Blumenau, Santa Catarina. The Hermann Hering Foundation (FHH) was created in 1935, and works to reduce inequalities through fashion, renewing the concept of basic in the social field. Constituted as a civil entity of private law and non-profit, it operates in the axes of memory, culture and entrepreneurship, with themes such as creative culture and connection with retail.
The Hering Museum and the Ingo Hering Memory Center are dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of history, carefully following the evolution of the textile industry and the fashion market. And it is in this context that the "Concrete Trace project" is inserted, linked directly to the CMIH, safeguarding the architectural and cultural collection of the architect Hans Broos, who worked for decades for the Hering family, designing factories, and other typologies.
