The following work was developed with a set of analyses and materials for the development of an intervention project in a modern residence. To this end, the study followed the objectives adopted in the Architecture Project 5 subject of the Architecture and Urbanism course at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), under the guidance of Professor Alcília Afonso and developed in co-authorship with Flavia Silva (undergraduate student in Architecture and Urbanism; UFCG; flavia.renale@estudante.ufcg.edu.br), Isnádia Nascimento (undergraduate student in Architecture and Urbanism; UFCG; isnadia.nunes@estudante.ufcg.edu.br), Nathalia Souza (undergraduate student in Architecture and Urbanism; UFCG; nathalia.clianny@estudante.ufcg.edu.br) and Rhainnah Bruce (undergraduate student in Architecture and Urbanism; UFCG; rhainnah.nascimento@estudante.ufcg.edu.br). The proposal sought to reconcile the preservation of the original architectural features with the introduction of new functions that promote well-being, health and quality of life.
The methodology of this work was used by Professor Alcília Afonso who works with the design process of intervention in built heritage which, in an objective way, was developed in three stages: anamnesis, diagnosis and prognosis, with the aim of guiding the requalification and reuse of the Walter Correia de Brito Residence, adapting it to house an Urban Spa aimed at senior citizens.
