A HEROÍNA ENCRIPTADA: A HERANÇA TRANSGERACIONAL DE ANTÍGONA

Abstract

Abstract: This article seeks to analyze the manifestation of the transgenerational curse in the figure of Antigone, the last descendant of the Labdacids, through the psychoanalytic approach of Abraham and Torok's transgenerational theory, identifying the characterization of the heroine in pure family mÍasma. Starting from fragments of the fourth episode of the tragedy Antigone, by Sophocles, the work examines how the psychic inheritance, marked by crimes, mourning and family secrets, perpetuates itself in the generations of the Oedipus lineage and is revealed by a kind of tragic katabasis of Antigone. The adopted methodology involves a socioliterary analysis of the term mÍasma, which symbolizes contamination and the cursed legacy in Greek tragedy, associated with a psychoanalytic reading of the transgenerational inheritance. The theoretical framework is based on the theory of transgenerationality, exploring how these concepts shape the mythical narrative of the Labdacids and their psychological implications. Thus, the research aims to illuminate how genealogy, which usually focuses on male descendants, also profoundly affects female characters, especially Antigone, revealing the dynamics of power, identity and family legacy.
