ANÁLISE DO PERFIL DAS LEITORAS DO GRUPO DE LEITURAS FEMINISTAS (GLEFEM) E SUAS IMPLICAÇÕES NA CURADORIA DAS OBRAS

Abstract

The Group of Feminists Readings (GLEFEM in Portuguese translation) aims to encourage the reading of female authorship Literature. It occurs remotely, through the platform Google Meet, with one meeting per month to the discussion of a selected and previously read  work, and had sixteen participants. The present paper proposes to analyze in the light of the theoretical postulates of Bajour (2012), Torre (2012), Valente and Domingos (2019), and Xavier (2018), the profile of GLEFEM readers, as well as the implications in the actions of the mediators aiming at the permanence of these readers in the group; an example of these actions, is the curatorship of the works. For data collection, an online questionnaire was applied to the sixteen participants using the Google Forms platform, with twelve questions ranging from the age of the participants to the reasons why they remain in the group. We obtained the following results: 1) 71,4% of the participants are female; 2) 57.1% of participants are between 14 and 20 years old; 3) 49,9% of participants are between 20 and 30 years old; 4) 57,1% of participants are undergraduate students; 5) 57.1% read books written by women more than once a month before joining the group.
