THE ROLE OF UNDIME IN THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN TOCANTINENSE

The study had as general objective to discuss the role and work of UNDIME in the search for improvements in education in Tocantins. The interest in the subject seeks to respond to a survey in the Thematic Oral History Methodology, based on the discipline of History, Education and Memory, of the Master in Education offered by the Federal University of Tocantins, as well as our close relationship with Undime-Tocantins. The research also resulted from an academic video that brings the speech of the interviewees and their relationship with UNDIME, a research in Thematic Oral History. The function of UNDIME is of paramount importance for education, especially in the municipal network, it brings all the guidance on MEC programs as well as all the guidance for the execution of quality educational management, it represents in a balanced way a managerial action of the educational public policies of the Union. It is also noticed that there are very few specific publications about UNDIME in journal portals, providing opportunities for research on the subject. It is concluded that UNDIME and the interviewees carried out their social and educational role and the interviewees performed the management responsibly and with quality, respectively.
