EXPERIENCING QUILOMBOLA EDUCATION: THE SCHOOL CURRICULE
Keywords:
Quilombola Education, School curriculum, DiversityAbstract
The focus of this work is to analyze the presence of cultural diversity in the school curriculum, exploring educational experiences in quilombola communities. The starting point of this analysis is the conviction that schools located in Quilombo-CRQ Remaining Communities face a serious issue of the invisibility of cultural diversity in the curricula. The structure of this study is divided into three sections, namely: the complexity of promoting multicultural education in school programs; the potential of Quilombola School Education to integrate cultural diversity; and contemporary debates about curriculum and cultural diversity. Furthermore, we emphasize that the connections between curriculum and culture have manifested themselves throughout history as forms of resistance and struggle. Therefore, it is impossible to study the curriculum without considering its interaction with the culture.
