Abstract

This research starts from the problem of how software for mobile devices can assist in the teaching and learning process in the History discipline, and what are the implications involved in this process. The work aims to narrate the conceptions of teacher-researchers about the development of Software (Apps) as a teaching tool for teaching and learning teenagers. The fieldwork was developed through semi-structured interviews collected with teachers who develop software, with the aim of obtaining theoretical and practical knowledge in the construction of educational software for mobile devices (smartphones). To achieve the objective, the Thematic Oral History methodology was used, which made it possible to understand teachers as subjects of the history behind the development of software, especially those considered educational. From the reports and the bibliographical survey, it is clear that teachers need to be aligned with the new “touch generation”, so such technological tools would combine with teaching, becoming a foundation in mediating the teaching and learning process.
