To “clear the air” about ideas concerning farms in the Seridó region of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil), a participatory experience is presented at the Caiçarinha farm (Acari/RN). Thus, researchers, the school community, and technicians from the Acari Historical Museum are led to practice walking, implementing appropriations for perceiving the farm habitat. The journey promotes work with different experiences of knowledge, giving a voice to those who rightfully occupy the farm. In this sense, we highlight the sertanejos who put down roots, build relationships, and create memories, giving the Seridó property an experience that goes beyond the act of residing/living there.
