This article proposes a theoretical and critical reflection on the city based on the centrality of the body and lived experience, understanding urban space as a processual construction produced through everyday practices. In contrast to approaches that privilege forms, functions, and abstract representations, the text articulates the notions of corpography, cartography, and walking as epistemological keys for a critical reading of the city as a lived place. Grounded in contributions from phenomenology, everyday life theories, and critical spatial studies, the article understands the body as an active mediator in the production of space and place. Corpography is addressed as a situated practice of bodily inscription in space, articulated with the cartographic method. Walking and wandering are discussed as critical spatial practices capable of revealing the sensitive, political, and ordinary dimensions of the city, contributing to a rethinking of the role of architectural and urban design.
