THE SKETCH AND THE SYNTHESIS
STRUCTURAL ORDER IN THE WORK OF RODOLFO LÓPEZ REY BETWEEN 1959 AND 1962
Abstract
O artigo apresenta um esboço realizado pelo arquiteto Rodolfo López Rey durante uma entrevista, enquanto explica as principais decisões que determinaram o projeto de uma de suas residências unifamiliares. Este esboço não só sintetiza os valores projetuais que marcaram a primeira etapa de sua obra, mas também dá conta do papel que o desenho à mão desempenhou no processo projetual dos arquitetos representativos da modernidade latino-americana. A análise é complementada por uma breve revisão de literatura que visa argumentar a importância desta prática nos processos de design e levantar possíveis dificuldades ligadas ao declínio da capacidade de desenhar na atuação dos profissionais da área.
