The review "Sila: the love that sets you free" tells the story of the Turkish soap opera "Sila: Prisoner of Love" that enchanted viewers from all over the world. The text invites readers to enter the culture of Mardin, a traditional city in Turkey where the novel takes place, through comments, its plot and strong characters. The story engages readers in such a way that they want the protagonists to escape the difficulties imposed by a violent local tradition and have a happy ending. In addition, the soap opera portrayed what happens in Mardin, in which many women are forced to marry and which includes many sentences of violence because of tradition. In this way, Sila and Boran's love breaks these paradigms, ensuring a safe and happy life for the people of Mardin.
