This graphic essay brings together sketches produced within the scope of a master’s research that investigates the potential of the everyday place in the formation of urban identities. Understanding the city as a plural construction, the work shifts the focus from hegemonic representations to ordinary experiences, daily practices, and affective bonds established in urban space. The drawings are not conceived as mere illustrations of the academic text but as methodological instruments articulated with a cartographic approach, accompanying paths, situations, and lived ambiances within the territory. Drawing is understood as a gesture of attention and sensitive listening, capable of registering atmospheres, rhythms, and intensities of lived experience. The set of sketches highlights freehand drawing as a language of investigation and knowledge production, reaffirming its role in the reading, narration, and critical understanding of place in the field of architecture and urbanism.
