We have reached issue 9 of our magazine and as the cover image we have a detail of the Church of São Francisco de Assis, located in Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, designed by master Aleijadinho. In the image, the contrast between the rough, stone base with irregular stones, which so well represent the mining region of Minas Gerais, dialogues with the lightness of the details designed for the bell towers and the pediment of the work, which is one of the most significant examples of the Minas Gerais Baroque. Architecture and place in a design symbiosis, which resulted in this project, considered the masterpiece of the master from Minas Gerais. The theme of heritage preservation is prioritized in this issue, with different perspectives on documentation and conservation issues.
