CAMINHOS PARA A SUSTENTABILIDADE:
CONSERVAÇÃO DA BIODIVERSIDADE E PROMOÇÃO DA INCLUSÃO SOCIAL
Keywords:
Conservação da Biodiversidade. Inclusão Social. Desenvolvimento Sustentável.Abstract
Environmental preservation is essential for the balance of ecosystems,
but it must be combined with social development, ensuring that its benefits are accessible
to all populations, especially vulnerable ones. Historically, environmental policies have
neglected social impacts, generating inequalities. Therefore, this work seeks to critically
analyze the main approaches and strategies that integrate biodiversity conservation with
social inclusion, identifying concepts, practices and policies already discussed in
academic literature. The research analyzes approaches that promote this integration,
highlighting the importance of the participation of local communities in the management
of natural resources and the recognition of traditional knowledge. The studies reviewed
indicate that collaboration between communities and conservation initiatives can reduce
inequalities and generate economic opportunities, such as ecotourism and agroecology.
However, challenges such as the lack of integrated policies and legal recognition of
communities' rights still persist. Therefore, this work concludes that the interdependence
between conservation and social inclusion is crucial, demanding a coordinated effort
between different sectors to guarantee a future where the environment and social justice
coexist harmoniously.
