UM LUGAR PARA CHAMAR DE SEU
MÉTODO GRÁFICO DE ANÁLISE PROJETUAL DE ILPI/ INSTITUIÇÕES DE LONGA PERMANÊNCIA PARA IDOSOS
Abstract
Faced with the natural limitations of the aging process, reflected in the loss of autonomy in basic activities of daily living (BADL), Long Stay Institutions for the Elderly (LSIE) are an alternative of institutionalized care, essential for the promotion of quality of life and Social development. In this context, we seek to understand the influences of the institutionalized residential environment in the construction of the sense of home, considering the population of the elderly, based on the development of a graphic method of design analysis. In order to evaluate the applicability of the method, the project of an existing LSIE, located in the city of Graz, Austria, was selected as a pilot study. The results of the analysis enabled the perception of appropriate and inappropriate aspects of the institution, presented in a summary table of diagnoses.
