Abstract

This article discusses the importance of sexual health education in schools, highlighting how it contributes to the conscious and healthy development of young people. Based on an experience report, the study explores the benefits of sexual education in disease prevention, self-care promotion, and awareness of respect and consent in relationships. Several studies by UNESCO¹ reinforce that school-based sexual education reduces risk behaviors and fosters a more inclusive and safe environment. The conclusion emphasizes the need for a commitment among schools, trained professionals, and families to integrate this topic into the school curriculum, ensuring that students receive a complete education to face the challenges of life in society.
