This work aims to analyze the role of Social Work in mitigating the socio-environmental impacts of uncontrolled urban growth, identifying the main challenges and perspectives for professional practice focused on sustainability. The research addresses how Social Work professionals can act in an integrated manner with public policies, contributing to the development of more just and environmentally sustainable cities. Additionally, it explores strategies and practices that can be adopted to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities in the face of urban challenges
