ENTRE DIÁLOGOS E CUIDADOS: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA EM AÇÃO EDUCATIVA SOBRE CÂNCER DO COLO DO ÚTERO NA ATENÇÃO BÁSICA

Cervical cancer is a preventable condition that can be detected early, with the cytopathological exam being one of the most effective methods for identifying precursor lesions. In Brazil, the implementation of this exam is encouraged in Basic Health Units (UBS), where nursing professionals play a fundamental role in guiding and raising awareness among women. The experience reported in this study took place at UBS Bela Vista, located in the municipality of Cajazeiras - PB, and aimed to encourage women's adherence to the Pap smear test. The initiative was developed by undergraduate nursing students from the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) during their supervised internship in Primary Health Care. Using an educational approach, the activity was conducted through a discussion circle, allowing for the exchange of knowledge between healthcare professionals and the community. Additionally, playful strategies and didactic resources were employed to facilitate the understanding of the importance of prevention. This report aims to present the experience, discussing the challenges and impacts of this initiative on the promotion of women's health.
